MyFencingReplay quickly becomes a staple for athletes, coaches and referees, becoming an an integral part of the regular fencing practices
Research Triangle Fencing has been using MyFencingReplay throughout its development and has identified multiple workflows:
Video Replay During Free Fencing: Our athletes use the replay strips on a daily basis to evaluate their actions. The immediate feedback allows them to troubleshoot their movement solutions between touches.
Lesson Teaching Tool: In a lesson, our coaches can use the remote control as a manual trigger. Showing athletes their movement patterns gives a different perspective on their technique.
Learning to Use Replay In-Competition: MyFencingReplay has a "pause" feature which continues to capture touches, but avoids displaying the latest touch on the screen. During competitive scenarios, athletes can learn to make decisions about which touches to challenge.
Post-Practice: By recording a specific bout and accessing video remotely, we can take our video analysis out of the gym. Athletes can watch their touches after practice, and our coaches can give tactical lessons during non fencing-time.
